“I want to thank everyone at Advanced Hearing Care for the courteous and caring manner in which they have dealt with my husband and me. Dr. Kelly and staff have been very helpful and informative. It is a pleasure to get to their office. Although my hearing loss is not profound, it could be personally extremely frustrating when I could not understand some words in a conversation. “I dint that my hearing aids are very essential. Without them, I miss a lot of any conversation, particularly with my wife, who has a very soft voice. I indeed, as soon as I get up in the morning put them both in and leave them on until I go to bed at night. My biggest problem comes in talking on the phone. “I have had my new hearing aids almost a year. I am totally impressed with the technology, sound, and compatibility. I can hear my hummingbird's wings flopping when soaring around feeders. I have added the streamer to use for the phone, Ipod, and TV. In March had my home security system added. What a relief to know you feel safer. There is a big difference in TV sound. TV was on high volume now the volume doesn't have to be up cause it's all adjusted to streamer. Everyone is not telling you to turn down TV. I teach kindergarten. What a pleasure I can hear kids on playground and in classroom and not have to be right with someone to listen. “For many years I was unable to accept I was having hearing problems until I realized the negative impact it was having on me at home and at work. Years ago, while attending various work conferences and staff meetings with the telephone company, it was clear that I could learn more reading the minutes of the meeting than I could by attending the meeting. When I retired in 1990 and started my own business, I soon realized my hearing problem was starting to affect customer relationships. I always had to have them repeat what they were saying, not just once, but several times and they would become frustrated with me. I found I was excluding myself from conversations during family gatherings and social activities. I felt isolated because I couldn’t hear.
