Connections Between Hearing Loss and Dementia: The Latest Research

This presentation was delivered to the Annual Las Cruces Medical Providers Administrative Meeting September 20, 2017 at the Northrise Village, Las Cruces. In this talk, Expert Hearing Care’s Dr. Kelly Churchill details the research up to late 2017 that describes the increased chances for dementia for people who have hearing loss, even mild hearing loss. Dr. Churchill also discusses how the brain structure is altered by hearing loss, and how regular use of hearing aids can reverse the process and reduce the threat of accelerated dementia.

This public lecture was presented at the Senior Amigos on August 31, 2018.
